Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-16
Public profile: Anyone with your link or QR code can see the profile details you choose to publish: name, slug, headline, title, company, bio, tags, links, and photo.
Sign-in: Cheers uses OAuth sign-in (Google and/or LinkedIn, depending on what is enabled). We store an auth identifier such as your provider subject id, an API/session token, and any email the provider returns. Cheers does not store passwords.
Saved connections: When you save someone, we store that person's slug, when you saved them, and any location, note, or tags you add. Saved connections are private to the saver and invisible to the saved person: they cannot see who saved them, your notes, your tags, or a count that reveals identities.
Agent access: Your API token in /me grants read and write access to your own Cheers account through the API, MCP, and CLI. You can regenerate the token anytime from /me to revoke the old one.
What we do not do: Cheers does not sell your data, create public posts, send spam, run analytics scripts, or use tracking cookies.
Cookies: Cheers uses an HttpOnly cheers_token cookie to keep you signed in.
Deletion: You can permanently delete your account from /me → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile, your saved connections, connections others saved to you, your saved-by counter, and account lookup records.
